About the team you are joining

You will be joining the Informationand Data Division, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). You will lead a small team of security professionals.
What your day would be like

You will beresponsible for internal and external IATA efforts to improve the aviationcyber security of its members and the wider aviation industry. Key to this isdelivery of the IATA Aviation Cyber Security Strategy and advancing policies, standardsand regulations for risk-based, outcome focused approaches to mitigate currentand emerging cyber threats to the aviation industry.

Your keyresponsibilities include:

Develop and execute the organization's strategy for influencing aviation cybersecurity policy and standardization.

Oversee the integration of cybersecurity advocacy into broader corporate strategies, ensuring alignment with safety, security, and operational objectives.

Lead the organization's participation in cybersecurity working groups, contributing to the development of international standards and best practices.

Provide expert guidance on aligning aviation cybersecurity practices with geopolitical and technological trends.

Build and sustain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, industry partners, and aviation organizations to foster collaboration.

Represent the organization at international conferences, summits, and panels on aviation cybersecurity.

Act as a trusted advisor to internal leadership on external regulatory developments and their implications.

Champion cybersecurity awareness and training programs for senior leaders, regulators, and industry partners.

Publish white papers, position statements, and reports to advance thought leadership in aviation cybersecurity.

Collaborate with academic and research institutions to promote innovation in aviation cybersecurity practices.

We would love to hear from you if

A university degree in Management, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's preferred).

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or advocacy role.

Proven ability to navigate complex, multicultural, and international environments with exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and aviation standards.

Strong understanding of emerging technologies, digital infrastructure, and the evolving cyber threat landscape.

Fluent in English with superior written and verbal communication skills; additional language proficiency is a plus.

Travel Required: 10-20%
