JOB SCOPE:
The Head of Online Commerce for TransformCo will be responsible for leading the overall digital retail strategy and driving growth across ecommerce platforms. This includes overseeing website optimization, user experience, product merchandising, and digital marketing initiatives. The role also involves managing vendor relationships and reporting performance metrics to senior leadership, with a focus on continuous innovation and improvement in the online retail space.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Head of Online Commerce for TransformCo will be responsible for leading the overall digital retail strategy and driving growth across ecommerce platforms. The role requires close collaboration with the Sears Home Services and Kenmore business units to create synergies that enhance cross-platform growth. In addition to managing a team of ecommerce professionals, the Head of Online Commerce will leverage data-driven strategies to improve conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and sales.

SUPERVISION:
Direct: 5 - 7 ranging from Manager to Sr. Director Indirect: 5 to 7

Chairman

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive ecommerce strategy to increase online sales, improve customer experience, and drive digital innovation
  • Oversees all aspects of our online retail platforms, including website optimization, user experience, product merchandising, and digital marketing
  • Collaborates closely with our Sears Home Services and Kenmore business units to create synergies and drive cross-platform growth
  • Leads a team of ecommerce professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Analyzes market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
  • Implements data-driven strategies to optimize conversion rates, average order value, and customer lifetime value
  • Manages relationships with key technology partners and vendors to ensure optimal platform performance
  • Develops and monitor KPIs to track progress and report on ecommerce performance to senior leadership
  • Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5-10 years of related experience
  • Up to 25% travel
  • 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • 6+ years of experience in ecommerce, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of driving significant growth in online retail sales
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and strategies
  • Experience in integrating online and offline retail operations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in ecommerce and digital retail
  • Experience with multi-channel or omni-channel retail strategies

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Master's degree or MBA
