We are seeking a leader with procurement and sustainability experience to lead the development of our strategy to reduce our scope3 emissions globally for Global Customer Fulfillment. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. The position will work and partner with multiple teams to develop and execute the supplier strategy to hit our ambitious scope 3 goals for Packaging.
Key job responsibilities
Is the chief architect for the vision, roadmap, and strategy to deliver our net zero carbon footprint across all Packaging scope 3 emissions.
Responsible for mechanisms and tools to track historical records, build and maintain forecasts, and improve data fidelity of WWGS's carbon footprint.
Works with Category leaders to analyze our current footprint postion and develop a short-and-long term decarbonization strategy for Packaging. This work is essential to support material financial decisions.
Leads setting and tracking WWGS's carbon intensity reduction goals on an annual and long-term (2030 and beyond) basis to get alignment across executives.
Independently drives narratives and briefs for executives on the carbon program.
Drives tactical decarbonization roadmaps to pilot and implement lower carbon solutions.
Key lead and liaison for carbon across our Procurement organization.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Earn the trust of key stakeholders to drive alignment with the business
Create a category strategy in conjunction with internal customers to ensure there is a comprehensive, unified approach for the category.
Achieve yearly cost saving or value targets appropriate to the category aligned with annual budget processes.
Define and report on key metrics that measure effectiveness of supply and cost savings
Champion standards and process improvements
** Candidate must be able to travel, up to 20% **
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of supply chain experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 7+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience
- Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
