Your Role

We're looking for a strategic and forward-thinking Director of Product Management to lead our Protein Pathways and Analysis business field, overseeing our portfolio of Antibodies, Bioactive Small Molecules and Immunoassays. This leader will spearhead a critical transformation-shifting our focus from a traditional reagents-driven model to a more comprehensive platform-based approach over the coming years. You and your team will maintain a customer-relevant portfolio, executing proactive product life cycle management. You will work closely with Commercial Teams to execute sales and marketing plans, and collect input of customer information for innovation projects. Success in this role requires a strong ability to influence across all levels of the organization and effectively drive alignment in a complex, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Strategic Product Transformation: Develop and execute a forward-looking product strategy that enables the shift from a traditional reagent-based model to a modern, platform-centric approach, aligned with overarching business goals. Develop and refine the product innovation roadmap for the portfolio, working closely with R&D to execute on innovation projects that make the roadmap a reality.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Commercial, Marketing Communications, Digital & eCommerce, and R&D teams to ensure seamless alignment and execution of product initiatives that accelerate sales growth and competitive success in market.

Portfolio Leadership: Oversee a diverse portfolio encompassing both high-volume, transactional products and specialized, consultative solutions, ensuring balanced growth and market relevance. Lead the development of an inorganic roadmap with the BD/M&A teams, and assess companies as potential partners and/or acquisition targets.

Insight-Driven Strategy: Leverage strong business and financial acumen to interpret market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics, informing sound strategic decisions.

Team Leadership and Development: Cultivate a high-performing team culture centered on engagement, continuous learning, and collaboration, empowering team members to thrive and grow.

Stakeholder Influence and Alignment: Build strong relationships across the organization and effectively influence at all levels to drive alignment, secure buy-in, and advance product priorities.

This will be a hybrid role (in office 3 days per week/work from home 2 days per week) with preferred locations in the following order: St. Louis, MO; Temecula, CA; & Burlignton, MA.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of product management experience in life sciences or biotech, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership abilities: genuine, strategic foresight, the ability to inspire others and demonstrated competence
  • Strong business acumen and experience managing portfolio growth, financials and strategic partnerships
  • Proven experience in product management, with a focus on the Protein Pathways and Analysis domain or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing product strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Proven ability to influence across diverse functions and levels, thriving within complex matrixed environments.
  • Skilled at building strong cross-functional partnerships and fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Confident and decisive, with sound judgment in assessing risks and making strategic choices.
  • Deep business and financial insight, with a data-driven approach to strategy and decision-making.
  • Experienced in managing both high-volume transactional portfolios and specialized offerings, with a sharp understanding of digital commerce dynamics and consultative sales strategies.
