What you will do

The Head of Research & Insights is a critical leadership role responsible for driving strategic decision-making through deep understanding of consumer behavior, market/product trends, and competitive landscapes. This individual will lead a team of insights professionals, across consumer research & insights to Product UXR to deliver actionable insights that inform marketing strategies, product development, and overall business growth at WeightWatchers. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and strong communication skills to influence key stakeholders and drive impactful change.

Strategic Insights Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive consumer and marketing insights strategy aligned with WW's business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights.
  • Identify and anticipate emerging consumer trends and market opportunities to inform innovation and growth.
  • Develop and share organizational roadmap to research and insights with wider executive and company stakeholders
  • Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Develop and manage a world-class team of consumer and product/UXR research to build unified front ensuring we build the right product for the right customers

Consumer Understanding & Market Analysis:
  • Lead the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies to uncover deep consumer insights.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive intelligence, and trend forecasting to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of WW's target audience, including their needs, motivations, and behaviors.
  • Analyze customer NPS and brand/product health metrics scores creating recurring dashboard for trended insights
  • Synthesize various data sources (surveys, digital analytics, social listening, etc.) to develop a holistic view of the consumer.

Marketing & Product UXR Insights:
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to provide insights that inform campaign development, product innovation, and customer experience optimization.
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and product launches, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct audience segmentation and profiling to identify key target groups and tailor marketing messages.
  • Lead consumer journey & product UXR the research to ensure positive user experience
  • Partner with data & analytics

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of consumer and marketing insights professionals.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Manage external research vendors and agencies, ensuring high-quality deliverables and cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for all research projects.

Communication & Influence:
  • Effectively communicate complex insights and recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Develop compelling presentations and reports that translate data into actionable insights.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Champion the voice of the consumer within the organization.

Who you are
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in consumer and marketing insights, with a proven track record of driving business impact.
  • Extensive experience in designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research studies.
  • Past experiences developing research team tooling, capabilities and scaling solutions across a wide array of service options
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large complex data into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Experience in the health and wellness industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and market research software.
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and social listening tools.


Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.

US Pay Range

$240,000-$260,000 USD
