The Head of Sales Data Solutions is a pivotal leadership role responsible for crafting the strategic and operational roadmap for sales analytics and business intelligence. You will define the vision and develop data strategies that align with the Sales organization's goals. Leveraging your extensive experience in data management and analytics, you will guide your team in exploring data sets to uncover patterns and trends critical to identifying business opportunities and challenges. Additionally, you will develop dashboards and automated systems that democratize platform insights. Your strategic vision will be foundational in transforming data into competitive insights and actionable strategies.
As the leader of a team of data science and business intelligence analysts, you will be responsible for the continuous development and execution of cutting-edge analytics solutions. Your role will involve setting tactical goals, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will oversee the design and implementation of data visualization tools and dashboards, ensuring they are intuitive and actionable for stakeholders across the organization. Through effective workflow design and process optimization, you will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales data systems, empowering our sales teams and sales support partners with the insights required to excel in a competitive landscape.
Your responsibilities will extend beyond technical excellence, encompassing the mentorship and development of your team. With a focus on fostering a data-driven culture, you will act as a catalyst for change, aligning cross-functional stakeholders around a common vision for utilizing data as a strategic asset. Your communication and leadership skills will be instrumental in leading initiatives across different product areas, conveying complex data insights to senior leadership, and collaborating with global teams to ensure seamless integration of analytics capabilities across regions. By championing innovation and best practices, you will inspire your team to excel in delivering high-impact data solutions that drive tangible business results.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in data analytics and visualization, with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams within sales organizations. You should have deep expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker, complemented by advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and transformation. Additionally, your strategic business acumen should enable you to interpret complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. A strong problem-solving mindset, coupled with the agility to navigate ambiguity and a commitment to continuous learning, will be crucial in staying at the forefront of emerging data technologies. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field of study is required, and experience working across diverse cultural and geographical regions will be highly advantageous.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Insights and Content Solutions, you will serve as a key leader within the team, aligning on priorities, resources, and global initiatives. You will contribute to the broader vision and strategic direction of the Insights and Content Solutions team. This team is part of the Global Client Solutions organization, requiring collaboration with regional leaders in Brand/Creative, Measurement, and Performance teams.
We are seeking a strategic and creative leader who excels in transforming data into actionable, revenue-driving insights and strategies. You should embody operational excellence, fostering cross-functional collaboration and thriving in ambiguous environments with a 'build' mentality. What you will do:
- Lead a High Performing Team:
- Build and lead the Sales Data Solutions team to extract insight from our 1P data and developing user-focused dashboards that unlock net new revenue opportunities for the Sales organization
- Contribute to the growth vision and tactical planning necessary to accelerate revenue growth in international markets
- Accelerate the Democratization of Insights:
- Develop data systems and dashboards that enable the democratization of data and insights to our sales support and direct sales sales teams to enhance advertiser engagement and drive revenue growth
- Support the growth of emerging markets by implementing analytical solutions tailored to each region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build data systems for efficient insights extraction and utilization
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration and Innovation:
- Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure that data is leveraged across the organization to meet shared objectives
- Lead initiatives to integrate AI technologies into data operations, driving efficiencies and enhancing the quality and speed of data analysis and insights delivery
- Promote a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging experimentation and adoption of new tools and methodologies that can improve insights generation and application
What we're looking for:
- 15+ years of experience in large data set manipulation within digital media platforms and/or at companies with advertising-based business models
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience leading technical teams to generate value-adding dashboards and innovative solutions.
- Strong understanding of data analytics, with proven experience using data for storytelling; data visualization skills required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Statistics, Marketing Sciences, Strategy, or equivalent experience. Proficient in SQL, with a minimum of 5 years of active utilization in relevant roles.
- An empathetic leader with strong operational discipline and a process-oriented mindset. Experience working with international markets, understanding regional differences and ensuring inclusivity and respect for cultural nuances.
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and impactful manner to various stakeholder levels, including executives. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to seek new opportunities and efficiencies. Enthusiasm about adopting AI technology to enhance relevant insights delivery at scale.
