Objective of Job

Accountable for the development and maintenance of plant quality operations processes, as well as the strategic oversight and management of direct reports.

Principal Activities
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Develops long-term strategy for Plant Series Quality department and ensures implementation. Coordinates budget and headcount planning based on strategic goals.
  • Leadership & Expertise: Provides technical and disciplinary leadership to Series Quality Operations associates. Acts as subject matter expert on Quality Systems and processes.
  • Guidelines & Processes: Implements and communicates guidelines, processes, and systems for Plant Series Quality department.
  • Quality Training: Develops and maintains Quality Training program, ensuring employees understand and utilize fundamental quality concepts, best practices, and tools.
  • Quality Best Practices: Customizes quality best practices/tools to fit Plant organization needs.
  • Culture of Quality: Promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement through structured use of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.
  • QMS Administration: Administers Plant QMS processes, ensuring product and process conformance. Monitors quality control processes and ensures proper execution.
  • Audit Support: Leads Quality Operations in preparation for audits, maintains certifications, and drives corrective/preventative actions for audit findings.
  • KPI Tracking: Develops, tracks, and reports relevant KPIs in cooperation with Plant and Corporate functions.
  • Team Management: Leads, coaches, supervises, and motivates direct reports. Manages day-to-day activities of Series Quality Operations team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities for process/product improvements and participates in corrective actions.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • ASQ certification
  • Complex manufacturing facility experience 6-8 years
  • Automotive industry - Interiors preferred - 3-5 years
  • Strong Technical knowledge of ISQ/TS16949, VDA6.3
