Head of Supply Chain Management - Croda Alabaster

You will oversee all aspects of supply chain management at Croda's lipid manufacturing site in Alabaster, Alabama, and serve as a key member of the site's leadership team. Croda Alabaster is the largest Life Sciences GMP plant in North America, dedicated to developing and producing lipids through our Avanti Research brand.

We are seeking to recruit and hire an experienced Head of Supply Chain Management to lead and optimize all aspects of Croda Alabaster's supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex supply chains, operational excellence, driving efficiency, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods and services.

Who We're Looking For:
  • Experience leading a supply chain organization at a complex manufacturing site, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, medical device, or food).
  • Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP; knowledge of import regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to develop and implement business strategies, forecast, schedule, and demand plan effectively; interact well with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Degree in supply chain operations, business management/administration, or data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the supply chain department, manage personnel activities (hiring, training, performance management), and ensure departmental conformance to the operational budget.
  • Oversee Sales and Operations Planning, materials management, central warehousing, and shipping and logistics.
  • Promote collaboration between supply chain, sales, commercial, and site operations, act as a conduit between sales, portfolio management, and operations.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards, provide feedback and coaching on safe behaviors, and participate in the SHE management system.
  • Support the creation and implementation of a centralized supply chain management framework, integrate site supply chain functions with regional and global teams, and establish key performance indicators.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement for safety and efficiency, evaluate supply chain vulnerability, and support SAP implementation.
