Join us as the Senior Leader within SCRI IT, where you'll lead the charge in implementing innovative technological solutions that drive both innovation and efficiency in our clinical research endeavors. In this capacity, you will offer a strong technology leadership and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our technological initiatives are in perfect harmony with broader research goals to advance therapies for patients. Your role will be crucial in enhancing IT efficiency, increasing productivity, and advancing research capabilities by implementing secure and scalable cutting-edge technology solutions.

Technology Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Lead as the senior technology delivery leader, working closely with business teams to manage and deliver cutting-edge digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the deployment of products and engineering solutions that transform manual business processes into efficient, automated systems.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, promoting the exploration of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide leadership in setting long-term goals, project completion deadlines, and performance standards for the technology team.
  • Work closely with Chief Information and Digital office to develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with the broader business goals, fostering innovation and enhancing research capabilities.


Team Development & Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and development opportunities to ensure the team meets business needs effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the team's work.


Enterprise Architecture & Innovation:
  • Oversee the enterprise architecture to ensure scalable, secure, and robust technology infrastructure suitable for clinical research needs.
  • Leverage data and AI technologies to drive insights and foster data-driven decision-making across research operations.


Data Engineering, Governance & AI:
  • Lead the development of data engineering solutions to support data-driven research strategies and operations.
  • Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Understand and contribute to the AI strategy and governance, collaborating with the data science teams for successful execution.


Training & Development for Business Teams:
  • Drive the adoption of innovative business processes to enhance IT effectiveness and productivity within clinical research settings.
  • Lead Design and implementation of training programs to equip business teams with the necessary skills to leverage technology solutions effectively.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars to ensure teams are up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and best practices.


IT Security & Compliance:
  • Collaborate with the BISO to ensure the implementation and enforcement of relevant cybersecurity policies.
  • Ensure adherence to all established technology, IT, and security standards and policies.


Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing and quality assurance practices to ensure the reliability and performance of technology solutions


Vendor Management & Relationship Building:
  • Oversee vendor management, ensuring compliance with policies and leveraging vendor expertise for research-specific technology solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, stakeholders, and clients to foster open communication and collaboration.


Budgeting & Resource Management:
  • Ensure comprehensive budget planning and align investments with business strategies.
  • Provide oversight and recommendations for IT budgets to ensure resources meet operational needs.


Skills:
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including direct management of teams and budgets.
  • 5+ years of project management and IT strategic planning experience in a clinical research or healthcare setting.
  • A related undergraduate degree in computer sciences, MIS, or business administration is required; graduate-level training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
  • Expertise in software development, enterprise architecture, testing, data engineering, data governance, and AI technologies.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across a diverse work environment.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to manage in a virtual work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
