Tiburon Peninsula Club - Tiburon, California
Position Overview:Tiburon Peninsula Club (TPC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Professional to
lead and elevate our racquets programming. This individual must possess an Elite-level
coaching certification, extensive experience in the private club industry, advanced administrative
skills, and a strong familiarity with USTA Men's and Women's leagues. The ideal candidate will
have a career aspiration to become a Director of Racquets and a commitment to fostering an
exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Adult Tennis Programming: Develop and lead engaging team clinics, private
lessons, and group training sessions to enhance player development and competitive success.
Create novel programming for our membership.
USTA League Support: Oversee match reservations, team registrations, and
league administration, ensuring seamless coordination for all USTA Men's and Women's teams.
Player Development & Feedback: Attend and observe adult league matches and
club competitions, providing strategic and technical feedback to players.
Member Engagement & Service: Actively engage with club members, fostering a
welcoming and inclusive racquets environment.
Availability Sundays - Thursdays.
Administrative & Operational Management:
Utilize advanced administrative skills to efficiently manage court bookings, team
communications, and event logistics using Clubessentials club software..
Collaborate with the Director of Court Sports to ensure smooth execution of
programming, events, and club policies.
Career Growth & Leadership: Exhibit a strong desire to grow within the industry,
with an aspiration to advance into a Director-level role.
Qualifications & Experience:
Elite-level coaching certification (e.g., USPTA Elite Professional or PTR
Professional).
Proven experience in the club industry, with a deep understanding of member
expectations and service standards.
Strong knowledge of USTA leagues, match play formats, and competition
structures.
Advanced administrative and organizational skills to manage schedules,
registrations, and communications.
Passion for developing players and fostering a strong tennis culture within a club
setting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate
and inspire players.
Minimum 5 years experience as a tennis professional. Management experience a
plus.
Compensation & Benefits:Tiburon Peninsula Club offers a competitive compensation package that includes lesson
commissions and performance-based incentives. Additional benefits include health insurance,
professional development support, and club privileges. Total potential earnings over
$120,000/year.
