Coaching Position Opening - Head Varsity Basketball Coach
Gonzaga College High School is seeking an experienced, high school Varsity Basketball Coach for the upcoming 2025-2026 season who serves as a full-time member of the school community by either teaching or taking on administrative responsibilities. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree and will have at least five years of successful coaching experience at the high school or college level. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have the experience and ability to teach. Most importantly, candidates need to be able to support Gonzaga's mission of building young men who are religious, loving, academically competent, open to growth, and committed to doing justice through their sport and through their positions.
Currently, the Basketball program consists of three teams. Duties include assisting the Athletic Director in hiring assistant coaches and scheduling practices, games, and off-season programs for all levels. Knowledge of the Washington, DC regional basketball scene is preferred. The salary range, commensurate with experience and leverageable skill set, is $55,000 - $110,000 plus additional opportunities for compensation, depending on experience and qualifications.

Cover letters should highlight relevant experience and particular areas of expertise in the sport, provide a short statement of coaching philosophy, and demonstrate how said experience, education, and philosophy would add value to the community at Gonzaga College High School. Materials will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
