Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with a focus on HealthEquity to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards and BI reports to support healthcare operations, with a specific focus on metrics like patient satisfaction, readmission rates, treatment success, and health outcomes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data visualization, structured query language (SQL), healthcare data, and experience working with BI tools like QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, and PowerBI. Experience with HealthEquity software/services is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Dashboard & BI Reporting Development:
" Dashboard Design & Implementation:
Use SDLC methodology to develop, test, and deploy enterprise dashboards efficiently.
Design data visualizations for various KPIs (e.g., Patient Satisfaction, Readmission Rates, Treatment Success, Compliance Rates) based on user requirements.
" Data Visualization Design:
Apply best practices in user experience design to incorporate effective visualizations in dashboards and reports, ensuring they are intuitive and actionable.
Data Integration & Analysis:
" Data Transformation & Analysis:
Transform disparate healthcare data into meaningful analysis for decision-making and predictive outcomes.
Extract, integrate, and analyze data from AllScripts SCM, Infinity databases, and Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms.
" KPI Metrics & Reporting:
Develop and maintain KPIs related to health outcomes, compliance, wait times, and other healthcare metrics.
Training & Customer Support:
" Training & Knowledge Transfer:
Train new staff members on applicable systems/applications, ensuring they can effectively use the new BI tools and dashboards.
Work with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to train them on new systems and features.
" Customer Service & Support:
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and enhancement requests, ensuring professional and prompt responses.
Handle service tickets and ensure customer satisfaction, collaborating with internal departments, vendors, and peers within IS.
Documentation & Reporting:
" Report Generation & Documentation:
Generate ad-hoc and routine reports, ensuring data is presented clearly and efficiently for further consumption.
Prepare documentation for dashboards and reports (e.g., FRD), and create mock-ups before building the actual dashboard.
Additional Responsibilities:
" Business Intelligence & Predictive Analysis:
Utilize BI tools to provide actionable insights for decision-making and process improvement.
Predict outcomes and prescribe appropriate actions based on data analysis.
" On-Call & Other Duties:
Fulfill on-call requirements and provide support for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
" Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field required OR 10 years of relevant business/IT support experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Minimum Experience:
" 6+ years of relevant experience, including dashboard/BI reporting design, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
OR 10+ years of experience if no bachelor's degree. " Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), including MS SQL Server and Oracle.
" Strong background in Healthcare Data (clinical, administrative, financial, operational).
" HealthEquity experience is a must, including building visualizations and KPIs for healthcare metrics such as Patient Satisfaction, Readmission Rates, Health Outcomes, and Compliance Rates. " Experience with QlikView and QlikSense preferred. " Expertise in Tableau, PowerBI, or other BI tools. " Familiarity with data modeling, query logic, and healthcare standards like ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, SNOMED.
Technical Skills:
" BI Tools: Proficiency in Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense, and PowerBI.
" SQL Programming Skills: Strong experience with SQL to create complex queries, models, and reports.
" Healthcare Data Knowledge: Competence with healthcare datasets, including electronic health records (EHR), claims data, and surveys.
" Experience leveraging Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms.
Soft Skills:
" Strong ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and technical teams, presenting findings and recommendations in a relevant and actionable manner.
