Position Overview
The Health Plan Contract Manager will report to the chief financial officer and be responsible for initiating, negotiating, and managing agreements with health plans to ensure optimal reimbursement rates and compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will help our practice maximize its financial performance while maintaining strong relationships with payers.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with health insurance plans to secure terms that support the foundation's financial health and service delivery goals. Utilize insights from industry trends to position our practice advantageously within the healthcare market.
- Compliance and Integration: Ensure contract terms comply with legal and regulatory standards, and are fully integrated with our clinical operations, enhancing the efficacy and efficiency of health service delivery.
- Collaborative Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with insurance providers, fostering partnerships that support both immediate and long-term organizational goals.
- Operational and Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage existing contracts, conduct periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance and efficacy, and adjust strategies as necessary in response to internal needs and external changes in the healthcare landscape.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Employ data analytics to assess contract performance and inform strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with the foundation's mission and financial objectives. Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting contracting activities, outcomes, and strategic recommendations.
- Policy Development and Team Leadership: Guide the development of policies related to healthcare contracting and payer relations. Mentor and lead teams, enhancing their capabilities in contract management and compliance.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare contracting or managed care.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and reimbursement methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
