GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Health Program Manager will be responsible for implementing programming for Identified populations at the Wyoming State Hospital, education of staff on programming and completing intensive case management work.

- Develops and manages implementation of new policies and procedures resulting from changes in federal and state requirements.
- Promulgates rules and regulations for health related legislation.
- Defines unit goals, priorities and develops implementation action plans for subordinate staff to maintain flow of work and timely deliverables.
- Within the scope of available resources, provides for employee education and development.
- Ensures that quality program compliance, customer service, and correct information are provided to program clients and agency staff.
- Provides technical and monitoring support to ensure completion of program requirements for monitoring and training.
- Identifies potential problems in the health programs through the evaluation of monitoring activities, renewal activities, and training events.
- Devises proactive solutions to problems through a variety of approaches through leadership and cooperation with unit staff and program clients.
- Creates and supervises projects and funding for competitive grant opportunities.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Master's Degree and Social Services Experience
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of employee supervision and team building techniques.
- Knowledge of developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to Medicaid, human service programs, and healthcare service delivery systems to include pertinent funding and resources.
- Knowledge of training techniques and technical assistance resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Healthcare)
Experience:
1-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Health Program Supervisor

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Typically, the employee will sit comfortably to perform the work, however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items.
