Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Department of Ophthalmology, has an opening for an Optometrist, specializing in Low Vision. This position is full-time, non-tenure earning at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Primary responsibilities will include patient care. Didactic and clinical teaching may also be required. There is immediate need to engage in a robust clinical environment in the UAB Center for Low Vision Rehabilitation that is within the Callahan Eye Hospital.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have graduated from a fully accredited optometry residency program and be eligible for an Alabama Board of Optometry license.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional subspecialty residency or fellowship training preferred.
