Job Title: High Risk OB Ultrasound Technologist

Experience: 1-3 years high risk OB ultrasound experience required
License: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OB/Gyn
Certifications: ARDMS (OB), BLS Required, Fetal Echo registered a plus
Must-Have: Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism; must speak English fluently

Job Description:

- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as required, assisting leadership with clinical and administrative duties
- Conduct all obstetrical and gynecological ultrasounds following ACOG guidelines
- Conduct ultrasound studies for diagnosis, including fetal growth, development, age assessment, and fetal anomaly evaluation
- Conduct ultrasound imaging for fetal diagnosis and anomaly detection for high-risk indications
- Conduct ultrasound evaluation for fetal and umbilical Doppler studies
- Provide ultrasound guidance for procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, percutaneous umbilical cord sampling, and special invasive procedures, including gynecological sonography and Doppler
- Participate in Procedure Verification/Universal Protocol in the absence of a registered nurse
- Review charts for orders prior to clinic visits; follow physician's orders
- Assist physicians with procedures as directed
- Collect necessary vital signs and record them on patients' medical records
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and distribution of supplies and pharmaceuticals, excluding controlled substances
- Possess skills to push heavy ultrasound machines to various units for emergency scans and operate them effectively
- Frequently stand, stretch, and bend to reach necessary supplies, and handle physical demands such as pulling or pushing wheelchairs or stretchers
- Carry and lift supplies for restocking, and ensure equipment is stored appropriately at shift end
- Exposure to communicable diseases is possible

This position requires comprehensive skills in anomaly detection, use of transducers, and ultrasound imaging among other technical proficiencies.
