This is an onsite position at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.

As our HIM Manager, you will oversee day-to-day supervision and management of the Health Information Management (HIM) department. This person will be responsible for the standardization and implementation of HIM tools and processes for Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. Every day, you will keep abreast of changes in the HIM field to ensure that our R1 HIM teams lead the way with best-practice HIM operations. To thrive you must be willing to be onsite, certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with knowledge of health Information function and operation.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $59,282.00 - $110,424.03 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%

Here's What You Can Expect
- You will need to maintain ongoing knowledge of current health information regulations to ensure that department performance aligns with productivity, quality, and compliance expectations.
- As an expert user/administrator of Health Information technology systems, you will be responsible for ensuring proper functionality and addressing any issues. You may also lead or assist with system implementations and upgrades.
- You will support the leadership and local administration by assessing, investigating, making recommendations, and following up on new technology, projects, goals, targets, and business initiatives.
Required qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
- 3-5 years of operational HIM experience.
- Expertise in Health Information functions and operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and people skills.
