About Forge

At Forge, we do one thing and one thing only: install energy-efficient heat pumps for homeowners across Greater Boston. Heat pumps are an all-in-one heating/cooling solution with a lot of benefits, but we chose to go all-in on them for three key reasons:

  • They're great for homeowners. Heat pumps provide year-round comfort and better indoor air quality with lower energy-bills.
  • They're better for the planet. Once widely adopted, heat pumps will be our #1 weapon in the fight against climate change.
  • They're creating new jobs. To keep up with the rising demand for heat pumps, Forge is building a skilled workforce of heat pump installers who are trained in-house - ensuring superior quality for homeowners and a satisfying career for tradespeople.

  • About the Role

Forge is seeking a knowledgeable, highly motivated and customer-focused Home Comfort Advisor (Account Executive) to help support our growing direct-to-homeowner business. In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving new business by assisting homeowners and guiding them through the process of selecting a new heating and cooling system. This consultative role involves listening to customers' needs, educating them on suitable solutions, and recommending the best options to fit their home and lifestyle.

Key responsibilities include speaking & meeting with homeowners, scoping the right heating system for each home, creating proposals, clearly explaining system details, answering homeowner questions, and ensuring a smooth transition to our operations team for seamless project execution. You will serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the assessment, decision-making, fulfillment, and follow-up process.

If you're passionate about heat pumps, energy-efficiency, or HVAC and want to grow your sales career with a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you!

    What You Will Do:

    • Customer Engagement & Sales: Act as the primary contact for customers, assessing their heating and cooling needs through in-home site visits, phone and video calls, email, and chat while educating them on system benefits.
    • Site Assessments & System Scoping: Conduct in-home and virtual evaluations to determine installation feasibility, recommend the right heat pump system for each home, develop customized proposals, and address customer questions on unit placement, electrical requirements, and efficiency.
    • Process Improvement & Customer Satisfaction: Refine sales strategies, provide insights on best practices, and ensure customers receive applicable rebates and incentives.
    • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with sales, system designers, and project coordinators to streamline operations and ensure smooth project execution.
    • CRM & Data Management: Utilize CRM software to track leads, document customer interactions, and provide feedback to marketing and leadership for process enhancements.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the HVAC, heat pump, or energy industries (i.e. Solar, Home Performance Contracting, etc.). Knowledge of Mitsubishi and Bryant equipment is a plus.
    • Customer-Facing Roles: Background working with customers as an account executive, sales coordinator, project coordinator, office manager, HVAC technician, or other customer-facing role.
    • Process & Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, quoting tools, and system builders.
    • Years of Experience: 3+ in all of the above areas

    Qualifications for Success:
Attention to detail - highly meticulous & thorough with a strong focus on accuracy & quality.
Motivation for financial success - driven by commission-based earnings.
A hustler mindset - hardworking, persistent, and goal-oriented.
Excellent people skills - ability to build rapport with customers.
Outstanding communication skills - clear, persuasive, and professional.
Industry experience - HVAC, heat pumps, or energy sector background (sales, project coordination, or installation).
Tech-savviness - ability to adapt to and utilize different digital platforms.

    Required:
Available to work full-time with flexibility to work extended hours if needed.
    Valid driver's license.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Willing and able to pass a background check and 4-panel drug test (no marijuana screening).

    Compensation:

$70,000-$150,000 (base + commission), depending on experience.
