Homecare Nurse Manager

McGregor PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a community-based service program that provides in-home healthcare services to the elderly as an alternative to nursing home placement, allowing Seniors to remain at home.

A Homecare Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of healthcare services to patients in their homes. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this position:

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the daily activities of the nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
• Patient Care Plans: Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Coordination: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to coordinate patient care.
• Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve the quality of care provided.
• Budget Management: Participate in budgeting and financial planning for the department.
• Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory of nursing supplies.
• Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong organizational, ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• CPR and BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Some management or leadership experience preferred
