HR Business Manager
Datalogic is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and strategic Human Resources (HR) Business
Manager to join our Americas HR team. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leadership and
department heads to align HR strategies with business goals, driving performance, employee
engagement, and organizational development. This role requires a deep understanding of the business
and the ability to address a wide range of HR challenges with practical solutions.
Role Mission
The successful candidate will work alongside business leaders in implementing initiatives to help
their teams improve - particularly in the areas of organizational structure, performance
management, development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnering:
Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with overall business goals and
objectives.
Provide guidance and support on HR-related issues such as talent management, workforce
planning, and employee relations.
Drive organizational change initiatives and ensure the alignment of HR practices with business
needs.
Talent Management & Development:
Work closely with leadership teams to identify and nurture high-potential talent and ensure
succession planning.
Lead efforts in workforce planning and performance management and support Talent
Acquisition efforts.
Advise on employee development programs, training, and career progression.
Oversee the delivery of people changes/HR transactions and associated workflows such as
hiring, exits, job architecture changes, compensation and bonus administration
Employee Relations:
Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on employee relations
matters, conflict resolution, and performance issues.
Develop and implement strategies to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, addressing any concerns or disputes in a
timely and effective manner.
Change Management:
Support and help roll out organizational changes such as restructuring and reorganizations.
Support leadership in managing employee communication and addressing concerns during
times of change.
Foster an adaptable, resilient, and positive organizational culture.
Performance Management:
Provide coaching and feedback to managers and employees regarding performance goals,
feedback, and development plans.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of performance management initiatives.
HR Metrics & Reporting:
Analyze HR data to drive decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
Provide insights into workforce trends, employee satisfaction, and retention strategies.
Develop and present regular HR reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and areas
of improvement.
Assist with HR budget/vendor management
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, regulations, and internal
policies.
Support HR initiatives related to employee benefits, compensation, and health and safety
policies.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and morale.
Identify opportunities for creating a strong, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education :(School/Specialization): Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
HR certification like PHR or SHRM (a plus)
Primary Language Fluent in English
Experience - 10+ years of experience as a Generalist or HR business partner in a
corporate environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in onboarding/offboarding
change management and restructuring.
- Proven experience in a strategic HR business partner role,
working closely with senior leadership teams.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including but not
limited to employee rights, workplace safety, wage and hour laws, and
benefits compliance. Ability to apply legal principles to HR practices,
ensuring organizational compliance with federal, state, and local labor
laws.
- Ability to consult on all facets of human resources including but
not limited to recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, change
management, org development, and performance management.
- Experience supporting multi-state groups as well as experience
collaborating with global counterparts highly desirable.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work
simultaneously.
- Strong self-initiative and ability to support recommendations with
sound thinking and fact-based evidence (data, research, best
practices, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust interpersonal skills with evidence of teamwork,
collaboration, and confidentiality.
Business travel as needed 5%
