Addus Homecare is searching for a Human Resources Business Partner. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly home health and hospice services, and a passion for helping healthcare professionals thrive in their roles. You will be responsible for implementing HR programs that foster a positive work culture, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the development and retention of top talent.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with leadership to understand the company's goals and develop HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on HR issues including employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Ensure alignment of HR initiatives with the mission and values of the organization.
  • Advise leaders on effective employee retention strategies, with a focus on reducing turnover within clinical staff.
  • Provide coaching and support for leadership in managing performance challenges and conflicts.
  • Stay informed about healthcare regulations and employment law, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws specific to home health and hospice services.
  • Handle employee investigations, complaints, and grievances in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Track key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, retention, employee satisfaction) and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports, ensuring all information is compliant with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or strategic HR role in a healthcare or related industry.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience in home health and/or hospice services is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and labor laws related to healthcare staffing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, from caregivers to executives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex HR issues in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with an empathetic and solutions-oriented approach to employee relations.
