As HR Director you will lead delivery of our people strategy for Ecolab Canada. Reporting to the SVP HR for Global Markets, you will drive change, achieve results and support business growth through your direct team of HR professionals. Partnering directly with the businesses in Canada, focusing on driving engagement, continuous improvement, operational excellence strategy and hands-on delivery.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the HR function for Canada, covering app. 900 associates across various divisions and functions, Institutional being the biggest division
  • Partner with the Division Leads, the Country Manager and the senior leadership team as well as other stakeholder in the US to drive business performance and growth
  • Represent Canada and partner with the global HR and Business/Functional leaders on various topics and projects and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and standards in Canada
  • Make sure that country specifics of Canada are respected and leveraged in terms of legal framework, labor market and culture
  • Develop and implement the HR roadmap, aligned with the global HR vision and the business objectives
  • Build and maintain a strong HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Ensure the delivery of HR services and solutions across the market, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion
  • Manage the HR budget and resources, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness - Further optimize efficient HR operations via digital and automation


Minimum Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or other post-secondary education with 10+ years of complex, related HR experience
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or Leader (CHRL) or Executive (CHRE) designation (or in progress)
  • Must be able and willing to travel across Canada and to the U.S. as needed
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual or French language skills are an asset
  • Previous HR leadership experience in an international, matrixed organization
