Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for most of the following areas: talent management, labor relations, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and/or training and development.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of relevant processes.
- Handling confidential information in a professional manner, respecting employee privacy while maintaining company confidentiality.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven practice of a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.
- Must have a minimum of two years of Human Resources experience or experience in a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including excellent active listening skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.
- Strong proficiency with a HRIS (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Aerospace/defense industry experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment law.
- Analytical and research skills; ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives and identify key issues.
- Flexible and adaptable; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be a self-starter with strong time management skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- HR-related certification (e.g. PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
- Requires mobility and the ability to bend and reach
- May infrequently require lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required; repetitive hand motion (e.g., to operate computer keyboard)
- Vision at close distances and the ability to adjust focus for prolonged periods (i.e., computer screen)
- Ability to remain sedentary or stationary for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to write for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in an office setting for prolonged periods of time
- May be asked to carry up to 20 lbs. up and down a flight of stairs on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc.
- Occasional reaching overhead and lifting up to 15 pounds
- Ability to converse and communicate information with others
- Occasional exposure to chemical vapors and/or fumes in low non-hazardous concentration
- Potential to climb up and down steps on a daily basis
- Must be able to read and understand SDS
