HR Generalist (1-Year Contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support our People & Culture team for a one-year assignment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the behind-the-scenes work that keeps an HR department running smoothly. You'll be supporting day-to-day HR operations, assisting with employee lifecycle tasks, and ensuring we deliver a great experience for all employees.

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $77,000 - 103,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and changes in employment status
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS
- Help coordinate benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries
- Assist in scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, and supporting recruitment processes
- Provide administrative support for performance review cycles, engagement surveys, and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and local labor laws
- Support internal communications and employee experience initiatives
- Assist with HR reporting and audits as needed
- Partner with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate data and documentation
- Be a friendly and reliable point of contact for employee HR-related questions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 2-4 years of experience in HR support or generalist roles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with confidential information
- Familiarity with HR systems (Workday, etc.)
- A helpful, service-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
