Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR & Workforce Development
- Develop HR strategies to enhance workforce growth, retention, and efficiency.
- Lead workforce planning, apprenticeship programs, and employee training.
- Partner with leadership on engagement, succession planning, and compensation initiatives.
Compliance & Labor Law Administration
- Ensure compliance with Prevailing Wage, Certified Payroll, FMLA/PFML, OSHA, and labor laws.
- Oversee certified payroll reporting for public projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison for OSHA reporting, workplace safety, and legal compliance.
Recruitment, Onboarding & Employee Relations
- Oversee hiring strategies to attract top talent in electrical contracting.
- Manage onboarding, HRIS setup, compliance documentation, and new hire orientation.
- Handle employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
HR Operations & Payroll Administration
- Ensure accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and 401K contributions.
- Manage HR systems, tracking apprenticeships, licenses, and compliance reporting.
Training & Safety Compliance
- Coordinate company-wide safety training, OSHA compliance, and certification renewals.
- Develop ongoing education programs, including NEC classes and field safety training.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's in HR, Business, or related field (HR certification preferred but not a requirement)
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in construction or electrical contracting.
- Expertise in certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union/non-union compliance.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, OSHA, workers' compensation, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS (BambooHR or similar) and payroll software.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus!
