Summary:

The HR Technology & Reporting Analyst is a technical partner supporting Human Resources through system management, data integration, and analytics. Reporting to the VP of Software, this role builds and maintains dashboards and reports using Power BI and Dayforce, enabling leadership to make data-informed decisions.

This position requires strong business acumen, hands-on experience working with APIs and backend data tools, and the ability to analyze workforce data to surface actionable insights. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and data visualizations - not simply pulling or interpreting prebuilt reports. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR and data engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure the HRIS platform is optimized and functioning smoothly.

Essential Duties:

Data Analysis & Insight Generation
  • Review HR datasets to identify trends, outliers, or areas of concern.
  • Communicate findings clearly to HR partners and recommend areas for deeper analysis.
  • Support workforce analytics including headcount, turnover, compensation, and engagement data.

Report & Dashboard Development
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI and Dayforce based on HR's data priorities.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business needs.
  • Work closely with data engineers to optimize reporting pipelines and data availability.

System Administration & Technical Support
  • Serve as a technical backup to the HRIS Manager for high-level system updates and configuration.
  • Manage backend adjustments such as text changes, field updates, and API connections in Dayforce.
  • Troubleshoot and document system issues to ensure smooth data flow and functionality.

System Enhancements & Integration
  • Connect to Dayforce from the backend to extract, analyze, and manipulate data.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and new feature rollouts.
  • Collaborate with both HR and IT teams to implement platform improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a bridge between HR and IT, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Participate in discussions around system improvements, enhancements, and HRIS projects.
  • Stay informed on Dayforce and related HR technology updates to improve tools and processes.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting or collaborating with HR departments preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in systems support, data analytics, or reporting roles.


Technical Skills:
  • Ability to connect to and extract data from Dayforce using backend tools and APIs.
  • Intermediate to advanced Power BI experience for dashboard and report creation.
  • Experience working with data engineers to build, optimize, and maintain reporting pipelines.
  • Programming knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python) for automation and integration projects.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.


Analytical Skills:
  • Knowledge of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics techniques.
  • Ability to develop metrics, self-service tools, and analyses to improve efficiency and risk management.
  • Experience in trend analysis, correlation analysis, regression, and predictive modeling for HR decision-making.

Salary range: $80,000-$120,000/yr

If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range
