We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Payroll Leader to oversee HRIS and Payroll operations, as well as human capital data and analytics. As our organization grows to over 1,000 employees within the next 1-2 years, this critical role will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for our Paycor HRIS platform, will be an expert at people analytics, and will also bring executive-level expertise to our company-wide approach to Payroll. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in both payroll management and HRIS administration, with a proven track record of optimizing systems and processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing
HRIS (Paycor Platform) Expertise:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Paycor HRIS platform, responsible for the system's configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Lead HRIS enhancements and system upgrades, working with internal teams and Paycor support to ensure the platform is optimized for organizational needs.
- Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and other departments to ensure HRIS integration with other internal systems (e.g., finance, benefits, etc.) is seamless.
- Train and support HRIS users across the organization to maximize system effectiveness and adoption.
- HRIS implementation experience is a huge plus, as we are planning to go-live with Paycor in 2025 and are currently in the implantation phase
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and assist stakeholders with payroll-related queries or issues.
Payroll Operations and Compliance:
- Oversee payroll processing for the organization, ensuring that all employee classifications are accurately processed according to company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including tax filings, wage garnishments, and other payroll-related statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement payroll procedures, controls, and audits to maintain accuracy and security of payroll data.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Identify and track key human capital metrics, including predictive analytics and other data that will give insight into how the operations teams can optimize employee engagement and improve retention.
- Work with HR and finance teams to analyze payroll data and provide strategic insights related to compensation and benefits.
- Update and maintain human capital-related "dashboards", and work within Paycor as well as with our IT team to identify opportunities to automate data collection and presentation.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage the HRIS & payroll team, providing mentorship, training, and guidance to ensure efficient operations and professional development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the payroll and HRIS teams, identifying areas for automation, process improvement, and system enhancements.
Your Background
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll certification preferred.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in payroll management, with at least some experience focusing on executive payroll.
- 5+ years of experience as an HRIS administrator, with in-depth knowledge of the Paycor HRIS platform.
- Strong understanding of federal and state payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex payroll processes, including executive-level compensation, stock options, and other specialized payroll scenarios.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives, HR, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with payroll systems integration, report generation, and system testing.
- Experience with other HRIS systems or payroll platforms
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
