Virginia ABC is currently seeking applicants for the HRIS Analyst role. This position is responsible for working with the Senior HRIS Analyst to maintain internal human resources (HR) applications and growing technologies utilized by the division. This role serves as a support system for HR processes and operations, while working to give technical guidance to administrative and technical team members.
This position may serve as a subject matter expert and HR liaison on projects impacting HR systems. In keeping with the mission of the Authority, the role promotes excellent customer service and cost-effective solutions through effective consultative services, excellent communications and collegial relationships.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct industry specific research for HR metrics for benchmarking and comparisons.
- Conduct and provide statistical analysis of data.
- Evaluate findings and make recommendations for interventions and strategies to support business plans.
- Provide a variety of standard and ad hoc reports and analysis for both internal and external HR customers
- Process identification and review of new and existing systems and applications.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR system users.
- Manage permissions, access, and similar system operations and settings for HR system users.
- Create presentations to the division, Authority Board and leadership, HR staff and others as necessary to the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in documenting business requirements for application enhancements and communicating with stakeholders.
- Assist in user acceptance testing and post-release testing.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure data integrity.
- Work on current or proposed statewide or divisional special projects in leading or supporting roles.
- Participate in project planning, management, and review of activities related to policy changes.
- HRIS experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Two or more years in a professional HRIS role.
- Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of information systems.
- Experience partnering with information technology professionals to review human resources requirements.
- Professional level experience with auditing HRIS applications to ensure data integrity.
- Experience as an administrator of an internal HRIS system.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, other related fields, or 4 years of related Human Resources experience.
- HRIS, Information Technology, and/or HR related certification or extensive professional experience
