HSE Manager

Job Description

Job Summary: Selectek is seeking an HSE Manager responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring company compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a safe and healthy work environment throughout the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain HSE policies and programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to promote a safety-based culture.
• Review new products, processes, and equipment for potential hazards.
• Conduct internal and external safety audits.
• Lead accident investigations and identify improvement plans.
• Serve as the local HSE subject matter expert and represent the site at Group HSE meetings.
• Manage emergency response preparedness actions for the site.
• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations to maintain compliance.
• Assess current and future training needs through SWOT analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver training curriculum and content.
• Collaborate with third-party training providers to arrange specialty training.
• Prepare and implement training budget and ensure milestones are met.
• Monitor and report on key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program.
• Stay updated on training trends, developments, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with OSHA reporting and guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/education/communications or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of practical manufacturing experience in training and HSE.
• Knowledge of state and federal governmental agencies' rules and regulations (e.g., WISDNR, EPA, OSHA/NIOSH).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify developmental needs and provide training/coaching/mentoring.
• This role will not have direct reports initially but could grow into a position with reports.

Salary Range: $90k/yr. - $100k/yr.

Hours & Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
