Current Opening:

Make the Road States is looking for a passionate and people driven Human Resources Benefit Manager to join our team who serves an umbrella of organizations in a multistate infrastructure with more than 300 employees in total; the Human Resources Department is a fast pace team oriented work environment. The HR Benefits Manager will work closely with the Director on all facets of benefits design, implementation strategy, and open enrollment, as well as supervision of Benefits personnel. The Benefits Manager will be responsible for serving as an internal subject matter expert regarding the organization's medical, dental, vision, family care resources, 401K, as well as conducting meetings with brokers, vendors regarding offerings, projects, and plan changes. This position will involve organizing wellbeing initiatives, updating information in our internal system, and supporting employees with COBRA enrollment, FMLA and Disability paperwork, among other tasks or projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to
  • Manage all aspects of benefits, including: medical, dental, vision.
  • Understand and explain organizations' policies, programs, benefits and related information to employees. Resolves employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures
  • In collaboration with Director of People and Culture, manage benefit carriers & relationship with brokers
  • Manage all Paid Family Leave benefits
  • Manage all ADA requests & disability benefits and leaves across all states
  • Manage and provide information and education for retirement plan (401K)
  • Manage ADP benefit dashboard
  • Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislations and determines how it translates to the day to day operations of benefit management
  • Reconcile benefits accounts by approving billing statements and attend to any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with finance on any payroll/benefit related task
  • Responsible for special projects as needed

Requirements:
  • Eligible to work in the U.S
  • Required to be fully vaccinated with an FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine prior first day of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual - Spanish, preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in benefit administration/management
  • Knowledge on labor laws related to FMLA, PFL; ADA; ACA; COBRA is a plus
  • Advance knowledge and understanding of employee benefits administration.
  • Proven experience in working with HRIS, preferably ADP

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively and collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:

MRStates offers an excellent benefit package including health insurance, 401K, and generous paid vacation, sick, personal days. The salary range for this position is from $75,000 to 90,000
