Job Description
Provide executive support to the overall HR function. Critical responsibilities are the direction of both the training and development and organizational development programs. Specifically the job holder will be the internal resource to lead the execution of the learning and talent development process. He/she will assess the organizations needs and design, implement and deliver learning and development programs including talent and bench strength assessment, individual management development planning and succession planning. The job holder will work with senior management in identifying key people and then develop their management skills to enable a more effective group approach to the Company's objectives.
Experience and Skills
Bachelor's Degree required. Detailed knowledge in all areas of Human Resources (specifically Recruitment, Training, Compensation and Employee and Labor Relations. At least 10 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, with a minimum of five at Director level and evidence of increased responsibility over the course of career. Must be able to continuously identify and address Company expectations. Must have excellent leadership, organizational and planning skills, exceptional analytical and decision making skills, and strong communication skills. Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and tact. Must be able to work all shifts, and, weekends/holidays as required. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications. Must be knowledgeable of all federal, state and local regulations

- Prepare and submit an annual training and development budget along with individual objectives to the VP of HR by 11/30 of each year
- Direct and manage all Training & Development activities at all levels throughout the Company
- Continually monitor the Company's Management Team with respect to talent evaluation and bench strength
- Design and implement core-competency based development programs for the executive team
- Design and implement leadership and self-improvement programs for the executive team
- Lead & support the following activities:
- Alignment of company business growth strategy with comprehensive and detailed practical training manuals for operating procedures and "how to" implementation
- Design, development and delivery of effective team member training and learning programs to include corporate level training
- The development and execution of managerial and supervisory training programs
- Assess operational training needs and design training modules to include "Train the Trainer" programs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, assess methods, processes and techniques
- Provide immediate change methodology and strategies in line with assessments of programs
- Work closely with management to identify learning opportunities and develop appropriate training content to support company objectives
- Direct the Company's management appraisal program
- Determine appropriate blend of traditional learning approaches with web based technologies in order to create and deliver best in class learning programs
- Track statistics, metrics and ROI and create additional learning and performance metrics as required to qualify expense ratio to objectives
- Through the collection of data, survey and associate and management input provide feedback on the effectiveness of all Training & Development programs
- Perform all other duties as assigned
