Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of human resources experience in a leadership role
  • 2-3 (two to three) years Union experience required
  • Demonstrated success with teambuilding, collaborative work with physicians, project management, and process improvement projects
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Effective human relations skills are required for interfacing with team members, all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and other contacts
  • Must possess the ability to effectively function in a fast pace, pressure environment
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
  • Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and highly motivated to complete tasks timely
  • Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Weekend requirements: Evening and weekends as needed

Responsibilities
  • This is a full time day shift - evenings and weekends as needed- Human Resources Director position in the Human Resources (People Services) department
  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the People Services Director will play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with department directors, managers, and supervisors to provide administrative oversight and leadership across all departments in the organization
  • In addition to leading strategic organizational initiatives, the PSD will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the entire People Services function of Community Medical Center and Community Physicians Group
  • This comprehensive role encompasses areas such as Compensation, Benefits Administration, Education, Employment Services, HRIS, and Labor Relations
  • The PSD will participate as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and act as Administrator on Call (AOC) in a regular rotation with other SLT members

Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree preferred.
SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
