Job Description
We are looking for a versatile, hands-on HR Director ready to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. In this role you will be focused on solving problems, building solutions, and making a positive impact across all HR functions within the organization. This leadership position will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, fostering a strong workplace culture, and driving strategic workforce planning.. This role plays a critical function in shaping a high-performing, people-first culture that supports our fast-paced event operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in employee relations, performance and talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be actively involved in the daily execution of HR processes across the company
  • Build strong relationships with staff and managers to support, coach, and resolve issues as they arise
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns quickly, professionally, and thoroughly
  • Write, update, and ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices
  • Maintain and enhance our HRIS, ensuring accurate data and meaningful reporting
  • Handle terminations, accommodations, and leaves - directly and promptly
  • Lead the company's compliance with labor laws at the city, state, and federal level
  • Create and facilitate practical, role-specific training and performance tools
  • Develop and execute initiatives for employee development and leadership growth
  • Manage and administer benefit programs with a focus on employee support and cost-efficiency


Experience and Skills
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in event staffing, hospitality, or a related industry.
  • Must have knowledge of State and Local Municipality labor laws, wage and hour guidelines, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, and other related Federal and State regulation
  • Proven track record of developing HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and investigations.
  • Ability to handle high-risk and high-impact HR decisions with discretion.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
