We are recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to join a thriving organization. This role offers a competitive salary of $85,000, along with two weeks of vacation, two weeks of paid sick leave, an outstanding benefits package, and potential bonus opportunities. The HR Generalist will play a key role in overseeing or supporting various HR functions, including benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations, policy implementation, and compensation.

The qualified candidate will have at least three years of experience as an HR Generalist, with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Experience in the manufacturing, warehouse or construction industry is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uphold the company's Core Values (People, Safety, Quality, and Environment) by fostering an inclusive and engaged workplace that prioritizes employee well-being and performance.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, pre-employment screenings, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, ensuring a seamless employee life cycle.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and labor relations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and supervisors, addressing policy and benefits inquiries while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Maintain employee records, coordinate the annual review process, assist with job descriptions and salary administration, and support employee surveys.
  • Support HR process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead by example in fostering a safety-first culture, actively supporting corporate and local safety initiatives while ensuring HR programs align with safety objectives.
  • Assess company culture, identify opportunities for improvement, and support initiatives that strengthen engagement and enhance organizational performance.
  • Assist in the integration of acquired businesses, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with company policies and culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Human Resources Certification preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of California HR best practices, employment law, and compliance regulations.
  • Proactive and decisive with a strong desire to understand company practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in collaborative environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards), HRIS (e.g., UKG), or similar HR systems preferred.
  • Ability to implement employee engagement strategies, training programs, and conduct employee surveys.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
