The Human Resources Manager- Hospitality, Kohler WI, will play a vital role in fostering a people-centered culture within a dynamic hospitality environment. This position is responsible for overseeing HRBPs and HR Operations, while partnering with leadership, and ensuring the implementation of strategic human resources initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
Specific Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support operational goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organizational development.
- Provide oversight, guidance and support to HRBP and HR Operations associates.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution of workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Escalate alleged violations of policies to the appropriate parties (Employee Relations Manager, Security, etc.).
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the local onboarding process within the plant to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Coordinate all hiring needs between the business and Recruitment.
- Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and the use of Kohler Talent Cards for individual development purposes.
- Assist and provide guidance on short-term incentive plans and merit increases.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and identify trends related to employee engagement, turnover, and performance.
- Collaborate with EHS and Leadership to promote a safe working environment and champion a safety-first culture.
- Partner with EHS on the ongoing management of a light duty program.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director- HR, Hospitality
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required. HR Certification(s) desired.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Comprehensive HR experience, including a complete understanding of and hands-on exposure to the full mix of HR functions and navigating in a matrix-ed environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized with a bias for action, continuous improvement, and team orientation.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication competencies.
- Ability to use a high level of tact, diplomacy, discretion and empathy/understanding in a diverse work environment.
- Must demonstrate and drive the Kohler Core Beliefs
