Position Summary
The HR Manager will process payroll for five locations and manage all aspects of employee relations, with a particular focus on conducting employee investigations. This role ensures compliance with payroll regulations and handles sensitive employee matters, including investigations and conflict resolution. The HR Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources and be a key driver in fostering a positive, compliant workplace culture.

Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for employees across five locations, ensuring timely payments and compliance with all payroll regulations.
- Employee Investigations: Assist in conducting and managing employee investigations, ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns, managing grievances, disciplinary actions, and supporting positive employee relations.
- Employee Engagement: Support initiatives to promote employee engagement, including organizing events and activities that contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Office Management: including ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, coordinating office repairs and maintenance, and ensuring smooth daily workflow.
- HR Compliance: Ensure that all HR activities comply with federal, state, and local labor laws. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Policy Administration: Assist with the communication and enforcement of HR policies, ensuring that employees are informed, and policies are consistently applied.
- Communication: Draft HQ communication and PowerPoint presentation for All hands meetings.
- Weekly Memo: Compile and distribute the company's weekly memo, ensuring all important updates, announcements, and reminders are communicated effectively to the team.
- Employee Directory: Maintain an up-to-date employee directory, ensuring that all employee contact information is accurate and accessible.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and managing office communication systems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records, personnel files, and office documentation to ensure efficient operations and compliance with company policies.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support the overall HR function and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources.
- Strong experience with payroll systems and ensuring accuracy and compliance in payroll processing.
- Experience in conducting employee investigations and resolving issues in a timely, fair, and compliant manner.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software.
- Experience in travel coordination and working with neurodiversity agencies is a plus.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to devise innovative HR solutions.
