POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Office. The HR Manager manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas; departmental development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the following areas:

  • Recruiting and staffing logistics;
  • Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting;
  • Employee orientation, development, and training;
  • Employee relations;
  • Compensation and benefits administration


  • The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

    The Human Resources Manager coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff; reports to the Human Resources Director, and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    The Human Resources Manager position requires a high school graduate or equivalent; a minimum of an Associates Degree is preferred. The Human Resources Manager must have advanced secretarial skills and be highly proficient in word processing, typing, filing, etc. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent. Prior experience in a healthcare facility is also preferred with exposure to Accreditation review, State Department of Health Surveys, Benefit Administration, basic HR functions, Payroll Administration, and state and federal employment laws. Must be detail-oriented with expertise in problem solving, observation, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations. The Human Resources Manager must have the ability to prioritize, and handle multiple projects and complete assignments in a timely fashion under frequent and numerous deadlines. Good judgment and effective decision making skills are required.
