Who We Are Looking For

We need a strategic, people-first HR leader with strong leadership and relationship-building skills. This role goes beyond traditional HR-you will drive engagement, culture, and innovation while ensuring compliance with employment laws and best practices.

As HR Manager, you will lead the HR team and work directly with the CFO & President to develop progressive HR strategies that enhance workforce performance and organizational success.

What You'll Do
  • Lead & Develop the HR Team - Provide expert guidance on employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and labor law compliance, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment.
  • HR Strategy & Innovation - Develop and implement progressive HR initiatives that enhance employee experience, workforce retention, and engagement.
  • Workforce Planning & Recruitment - Partner with leaders to attract, retain, and develop top talent, particularly in a seasonal business environment.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance - Provide expert guidance on employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and labor law compliance, ensuring a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Culture & Values Champion - Ensure that Commitment, Attitude, and Respect are embedded in every aspect of HR policies, programs, and company culture.
  • HR Analytics & Decision-Making - Utilize HR data and workforce analytics to support strategic decision-making, performance management, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, business leadership, or workforce management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop employees at all levels, fostering a culture of engagement and high performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian employment laws, labor relations, and HR compliance, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
  • A track record of driving HR innovation, implementing modern HR strategies, and optimizing HR processes to support business growth.
  • Strong experience in change management, workforce planning, and talent retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (ADP/WFN preferred).
  • Experience managing HR in a seasonal business environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
  • CPHR or an equivalent professional HR designation (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CHRL, or similar) is required or in progress.
  • Additional training or certification in employment law, organizational development, or change management is an asset.
