This role involves recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees; consulting with executive management on strategic planning; and serving as a link between the organization's management and its employees, providing support regarding personnel and professional matters.

Starting Salary - $80,000-85,000

Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. This role involves recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees; consulting with executive management on strategic planning; and serving as a link between the organization's management and its employees, providing support regarding personnel and professional matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to HR coordinators or generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs.
- Participate in annual employee benefits review and benefit administration, including COBRA in collaboration with the Finance Director.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, mediating employee disputes, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices.
- Ensure employees follow all policies and procedures and generate and assess reports to determine employee performance and training needs.
- Suggest changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
- Attend interdepartmental staff and management meetings.
- Build relationship connections with employees, especially in a remote working environment.
- Occasionally process payroll as a backup.
- Assist with complaints and grievances as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HR and talent management systems.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP highly desired.
- Experience with Paylocity preferred.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
