Job Summary:
Provide Human Resources leadership and services in all major functional areas including recruiting and staffing, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, Workers' Compensation, safety, drug and alcohol program oversight, and wellness programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
In depth knowledge of human resources, employee and labor relations policies, practices, and procedures; compensation policy, wage and hour laws, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, EEO/AAP policy and procedure; relocation policy; familiarity with NLRA/NLRB; recruiting, interviewing, staffing guidelines, etc. Current applicable regulations/laws governing all aspects of Human Resources activity.
Writing skills - able to communicate effectively in written form in order to write grievance responses, document disciplinary action, assist with written performance improvement plans, etc.
Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA drug and alcohol testing regulations
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 10 years of progressive work-related experience in Human Resources
SPHR - preferred but not required

Job Summary:
Provide Human Resources leadership and services in all major functional areas including recruiting and staffing, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, Workers' Compensation, safety, drug and alcohol program oversight, and wellness programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruiting- Manage and implement recruiting, selection, and hiring for assigned area consistent with established standards and affirmative action objectives. Coordinate new employee orientations for same.
- HR Generalist- Provide counsel and support to local operations management in all areas of Human Resources, Coordinate efforts with appropriate divisional Human Resources personnel and functional management. Serve as a facilitator between groups and sections to accomplish area goals. Assist in the development and facilitation of training programs and initiatives as required.
- Labor Relations- Provide local labor contract clarification, interpretation, administration, grievance investigation and grievance avoidance. Provide information and analysis to support Area Operations Management. Facilitate appropriate grievance discussions and coordinate written responses. Serve as Company Representative and prepare local cases for unemployment compensation, human relations commission, EEOC, NLRB, etc.
- Benefits Support- Administer compensation and benefits programs. Administer and maintain records pertaining to employee benefits. Provide timely responses to employee and retiree inquiries regarding benefits questions, HR policies and other issues. Develop and monitor HR expense budget for assigned areas.
- Safety Support all safety related initiatives. Coordinate worker's compensation claims. Actively promote the use of light/restricted duty for employees on workers compensation or otherwise in conjunction with approved medical restrictions in order to contain costs. Review and recommend settlements where appropriate, Serve as an advocate and promote all safety, wellness, and educational initiatives. Also serves as Designated Employer Representative for UGI's Anti-Drug and Anti-Alcohol programs.
