The Production Manager oversees the overall success (P&L) and management of all production-related operations. This role includes planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and controlling business unit activities to achieve revenue goals while maintaining a strong customer focus. The Production Manager ensures compliance with industry standards, fosters continuous improvement, promotes safety, and drives employee engagement in a competitive environment.

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Base salary of $80,000.00 + Profit Sharing with anticipated first-year earnings of $100,000.00+.
- Benefits: Full benefits available, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, 2 weeks PTO, $50 cell phone allowance, and vehicle allowance if using your own vehicle, plus a gas card.

The Production Manager ensures compliance with industry standards, fosters continuous improvement, promotes safety, and drives employee engagement in a competitive environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assumes full operational responsibility for profit and loss.
- Develops and implements operational strategies to achieve revenue and profit growth.
- Manages the department budget and controls expenditures.
- Develops forecasts for sales growth, market mix, and profitability.
- Actively seeks new business opportunities to drive sales generation.
- Stays updated on industry regulations, economic trends, and market conditions.
- Establishes and enforces internal policies and procedures.
- Oversees safety reporting and minimizes legal liabilities.
- Monitors financial performance, including payroll, accounts receivable, and payable.
- Reviews pricing structures and labor rates for all departments.
- Negotiates terms and pricing with key vendors and service providers.
- Supervises dispatch operations to ensure efficient technician assignments.
- Maintains expense and service level reports, approving invoices and expenditures.
- Tracks key performance indicators such as daily sales, technician activities, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensures customer satisfaction and resolves issues promptly.
- Develops and implements marketing strategies to meet lead generation goals.
- Conducts field visits and ride-alongs with technical and sales staff.
- Ensures proper processing of permits, inspections, and warranty paperwork.
- Holds weekly department meetings to align on objectives and performance goals.
- Participates in scheduled management meetings and conference calls.
- Manages hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline of operations staff.
- Supports job costing, project management, materials procurement, and collections.
- Maintains professional standards, including company-approved attire and safety policies.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, specializing in installation, service, and maintenance for residential and light commercial applications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a home services industry, preferably in HVAC or general construction.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue and profitability objectives.
- Expertise in cost analysis, forecasting, and job costing.
- Strong knowledge of local business and employment laws.
- Experience in building a positive team culture through hiring, motivation, and training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Educational/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- EPA certification.
- CAC license (preferred but not required).
Environmental Conditions:
- Work environment includes both office and field settings.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, climbing, twisting, and reaching.
- Travel and driving in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, and lifting materials.
- Normal vision capabilities for close, distance, and peripheral vision with depth perception.
