Job Description
As an HVAC Service Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing service workflows, leading and developing a team of top-tier technicians, enhancing customer satisfaction, managing profitability, driving business growth, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in scaling the service department's revenue and expanding market share through innovative service offerings and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
The role involves working onsite five days a week with your own office equipped with a laptop, iPad, and phone. A company truck will be provided for use. The work culture is professional and supportive, emphasizing integrity and respect. You will be working with affluent clients in locations such as Rumson and Colts Neck. The company offers extensive training opportunities, including manufacturing training, service manager training, and weekly online training sessions. Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, a 3% retirement match, paid sick time, one week of vacation during the first year (excluding late May, June, and July), and holidays including New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Veterans Day if you are a veteran.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $52.88/hr.

You will play a crucial role in scaling the service department's revenue and expanding market share through innovative service offerings and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Optimize service workflows to improve technician productivity and reduce downtime.
- Implement dispatching and scheduling strategies to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Enhance inventory management to reduce waste and ensure availability of critical parts.
- Leverage technology (CRM, service management software) to improve operational tracking and decision-making.
- Recruit, train, and retain top-tier technicians to support growth.
- Develop a structured training and certification program to enhance technician expertise.
- Foster a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and incentives.
- Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between service, sales, and operations teams.
- Implement a customer experience strategy to boost satisfaction and increase repeat business.
- Develop and oversee a preventive maintenance program to drive long-term customer retention.
- Handle high-value customer escalations with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Monitor and improve service department profitability through pricing strategies and cost controls.
- Ensure accurate job costing, margin tracking, and efficiency reporting.
- Identify and implement upselling opportunities for service agreements, system upgrades, and additional offerings.
- Drive growth strategies to help scale from $7M to $10M in revenue.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and local HVAC regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training and enforce best practices to reduce workplace incidents.
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting for inspections and legal compliance.
- Work with sales to create service agreements that drive predictable, recurring revenue.
- Identify new service offerings (e.g., IAQ solutions, smart home integrations) to expand market share.
- Strengthen relationships with commercial and residential customers to increase referrals and contracts.
- Hands-on HVAC/Mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to train technicians on professionalism and operational procedures.
- Proficiency with software such as Service Titan, CertainPath, and NexStar.
- Customer service expertise.
- Project management skills.
- Mechanical and field service experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of NexStar and CertainPath.
- Leadership and workforce development experience.
