Job Description
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM or up to 6 PM; flexibility for hours required

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience

License: RN License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have: Proficiency in using electronic medical records and healthcare billing systems; experience with both interventional and diagnostic procedures

Job Description:

- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care, prescribing, delegating, and coordinating all care for assigned patients.
- Develop comprehensive plans of care addressing physical, educational, discharge, and psychosocial needs.
- Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and medical regimens, supervising the care provided by other nursing personnel.
- Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate patient responses to illness and therapeutic treatments to team members.
- Coordinate the overall plan of care, ensuring nursing interventions align with the medical regimen while prioritizing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Accept responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes based on professional clinical judgments.
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery and the development of nursing/hospital standards.
- Communicate effectively and manage stressful situations while facilitating interpersonal relationships with other disciplines.
- Participate in the orientation of nursing staff and assume charge responsibilities as delegated.
- Ensure appropriate patient coverage by assisting and relieving co-workers and working on other units as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, significant others, and staff.
- Serve as a clinical resource for student nurses and engage in research and pilot projects supported by the Nursing Department.
- Demonstrate responsibility for ongoing professional growth and education, including attendance at staff development and continuing education programs.
- Participate in professional and community organizations.
- Work with physicians for TEE and loop recorder implants.
