Role description:

The Immigration and Mobility Analyst will provide support and expertise in immigration and relocation matters for the Arcadis North America employee population.

This role will report to the Global Mobility Manager, North America.

Role accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence with the highest level of compliance related to U.S. and Canadian immigration. The Immigration Analyst will assist in facilitating the delivery of Arcadis' relocation and international assignment programs, including immigration services to ensure programs and practices are reflective of Arcadis culture, best practices, and any relevant legislation. In addition, the Immigration Analyst will track and monitor Arcadis' foreign national employees to maintain compliance and continued work authorization. This role will primarily liaise with external and internal counsel, HR, recruiting, and hiring managers.

More specifically the tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for existing employees by responding to policy and immigration questions, advising internal stakeholders on immigration requirements, reviewing issues and employee concerns, and escalating legal issues when necessary.
  • Work with counsel to ensure full compliance with immigration laws.
  • Partner cross-functionally in the collection of documents for various U.S. and Canadian visa/permit/permanent residency needs.
  • Monitor visa expiration dates for all foreign nationals and manage cases to ensure timely initiation and filing.
  • Perform data entry, upload documents, and maintain immigration-related content on internal employee portals.
  • Maintain various immigration files (Public Access Files, PERM, etc.).
  • Apply expertise to train and educate business stakeholders, managers, and HR about immigration.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes to immigration policies/regulations.
  • Review and track immigration vendor invoices and payments.
  • Prepare verification documentation for employee travel and immigration status.
  • Participate in other projects as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills well as a strong customer service approach. Candidate must possess strong cut cross-cultural awareness and ability to work with highly confidential information.

Other requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years of experience working with U.S. immigration processes (i.e.: L-1, H-1B, TN, permanent residency, etc.) within a large multi-national company, law firm or in-house corporate law experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across disciplines and with various levels of the organization.
  • Experience building, maintaining and leveraging cross functional relationships with People teams and employees.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with Canadian immigration preferred

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,790 - $98,685. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
