Culmen International is looking for an Immunology/Cell Biology Staff Scientist to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.
The Immunology/Cell Biology Staff Scientist will conduct laboratory research to evaluate the immune response to infectious agents and support assay development for countermeasure screening.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
- Design and run cellular immunology assays (e.g., flow cytometry).
- Conduct animal-based immunogenicity studies.
- Analyze cytokine and antibody response data.
- Assist in vaccine candidate testing.
- Maintain compliance with PRP and BSL procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in immunology or life sciences.
- 4+ years in immunology, cell biology, or infectious disease.
- Experience with T-cell and B-cell assays.
- Working knowledge of immune evasion mechanisms.
- Familiarity with GLP protocols.
- Excellent lab documentation and data interpretation skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
