We are currently seeking an ambitious pace-setter to join our team as a Import/Export Manager, in Logan, Utah.

ROLE COMMITMENTS
  • Develop & execute new audit valuation process for compliance & clearance
  • Develop & execute best-in-class reconciliation process and start executing post entries flagged for recon.
  • HTS classification reviewed and database updated, and executed
  • Custom broker partner RFP for best-in-class performance and partnership


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure Compliance: Develop and manage processes and manuals to meet U.S. and international trade laws along with leading a compliance committee team.
  • Lead the Team: Supervise trade compliance and brokerage operations.
  • Navigate Regulations: Keep apprised of developments in international trade laws, including updates to duties, tariffs and any applicable trade agreements.
  • Solve Problems: Work with customs officials, shippers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Manage Documentation: Oversee accurate and timely trade filings, internal document storage, KPI dashboards and SOP's
  • Optimize Processes: Enhance trade workflows, risk management, and compliance manuals
  • Post Entry Solutions: Support Post Summary Audits and execute PSC and Reconciliation filings.
  • Classify Imports: Assist in determining the correct Harmonized Tariff Classification and maintain the centralized HTS database.
  • Origin Reviews: Direct Country of Origin reviews and ensure compliance with Trade agreements


  • Education and Basic Qualifications


      • 5+ years of experience in import/export, customs compliance, or trade management
      • Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP
      • Deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws (ITAR, EAR, HTS)


  • Preferred Qualifications


    • Certifications in customs/trade compliance
    • ERP experience
    • Knowledge of cross-border trade, specifically U.S. - Mexico - Canada
