In this role, you are responsible to oversee & manage all Logistics import/export related activities including service provider management, Broker management, training, and maintaining compliance with all US Customs, export, and CTPAT regulations and other applicable government agencies for FANUC relative to inbound and outbound activity. You will lead efforts in keeping FANUC current with all customs, export, and CTPAT rules and regulations as well as track and manage daily activities of international shipments. There will be logistics responsibilities for freight International inbound and outbound movements including but not limited to freight tracking, tracing, expedited moves, and port re-direct.

Primary responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Export Control Policy Administration
- Maintain documentation requirements for releasing material complete accurate, on-time, that meet all government regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records as per US Customs record keeping requirements
- Maintain FANUC's position according to US Customs checklist for reasonable care standards for imported products
- Broker Management
- Manage the performance of service providers including packagers, and forwarders to ensure accuracy and compliance to FANUC's specifications and regulatory requirements
- Primary contact for all issues of concerns involving governmental regulatory bodies, FANUC's service providers, or import/export
- Responsible for FANUC CTPAT certification and related processes
- Develop and maintain procedures for ensuring compliance when classifying products in conjunction with import control
- Interface with EG's, Engineering, Purchasing, Project Managers and new Product Development groups to gather necessary data for product classification and shipping requirements
- Interface with CBP for all inquiries related to FANUC products, e.g. classification, end use, and country of origin
- Consult with network resources to remain current on CBP Regulation changes, C-TPAT changes,
- and changes in HTSUS affecting FANUC products
- Conduct recurring training of shipping personnel to ensure that all international shipments comply with shipping guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Provide timely and accurate transportation and packaging quotes for EG's contract administration departments
- Handle Confidential shipments for Executive Team as required
- Provide knowledge and expertise support for customer contract review of international terms and shipping arrangements
- Primary contact for Domestic 3PL
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferably Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Engineering or related equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ of industry experience in a primary Import/Export related role
- Experience in classification, interface with broker to determine correct classification for FAC items
- Prefer Licensed Customs Broker, or willing to work toward obtaining this license
- Working knowledge of US government Import/Export Regulations including BIS Export Administration Regulations, NAFTA requirements and Harmonized Tariff Schedules
- Experience in exporting to Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Canada and China
- Understanding of transportation standard terms, purchase orders/contracts, Legal requirements pertaining to acquisition of export services, and the Uniform Commercial Code
- Knowledge and ability to classify a variety of products using HTSUS
- Working knowledge of logistics execution (transportation, warehousing)
