Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as the immediate functional Purchasing resource to IT and other functional senior leadership and their respective staffs.
  • Active team participant on program management teams with respect to compliant and timely development of sourcing solutions for IT projects and other outside services. This requires adherence to the associated corporate, Purchasing, and applicable regulations or procedures on several simultaneous projects.
  • Recommends innovative alternatives that drive mutually beneficial solutions for the business owners, the company, and the supplier; applies critical thinking in evaluating strategic sourcing alternatives.
  • Leads supplier negotiations for non-IT projects in support of executing purchase orders and supply agreements for direct and indirect materials and services while ensuring supplier's conformance to company's terms and conditions.
  • Manages agreements and ensures commercial requirements are proactively addressed; partners closely with legal department in driving critical contract language.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal business owners and suppliers to resolve supplier issues.
  • Continuously monitors agreements and assures commercial requirements are proactively addressed.
  • Introduces innovative processes and process improvements that drive increased value and reduced redundancy / waste to ATI stakeholders.
  • Supports non-IT business owners in the development of statements of work, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), implementation, and transition plans to ensure effective service and material solutions.
  • Analyzes commodity spend data, market trends, emerging issues, and other dynamics along with the assigned functional business owner to develop longer term strategies for non-IT sourcing activities.
  • Partners with the business owner to evaluate or identify sourcing initiatives within designated materials or services.
  • Serves in a project manager capacity in various types of sourcing related projects.
  • Presents to management procurement opportunities and associated analysis that are aligned with corporate strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Applies critical thinking in evaluating strategic sourcing alternatives.
  • Adheres to corporate and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a physical presence in the workplace.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Law, etc. is preferred.
  • Exposure to corporate environment or manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Understanding of contract language and commercial requirements.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, analytical, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to be a trusted advisor to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong, sustainable relationships with both internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Balances time between daily operation activities and strategic planning/projects.
  • Strong digital literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with SAP and Ariba, or other ERP / P2P solutions.
  • Experience in IT or other indirect procurement categories.
  • Project management skills.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
    • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
    • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
    • Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD)
    • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

Experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Scope
  • Develops and manages working relationships with both internal business owners and suppliers of indirect materials, software, and services with a focus on IT and other outside services.
  • Leads business owners in the development and implementation of recommended strategies and goals for assigned materials and services. These strategies support business objectives related to service level agreements and/or other defined requirements, technology, risk mitigation, and total cost.
  • Collaborates with the functional or IT business owners and provides support to the IT Vendor and Contract Manager responsible for leading supplier negotiations, including service agreements and associated terms and conditions.
  • Manages assignments and workload with a reasonable level of autonomy; daily tasks are typically self-directed and associated priorities are generally self-determined.
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks, with a reasonable scope of work and span of control expected at this career level.
