About the role
As an Industrial Engineer at Wonder, you will play a key role in optimizing our logistics and distribution operations to support our mission of delivering exceptional food experiences. You will work within a dynamic and fast-growing team, collaborating with Operations, Technology, and Supply Chain teams to design efficient workflows, enhance facility layouts, and integrate cutting-edge technology. Your expertise will drive process improvements, cost reductions, and overall operational excellence. About the role
As an Industrial Engineer at Wonder, you will play a key role in optimizing our logistics and distribution operations to support our mission of delivering exceptional food experiences. You will work within a dynamic and fast-growing team, collaborating with Operations, Technology, and Supply Chain teams to design efficient workflows, enhance facility layouts, and integrate cutting-edge technology. Your expertise will drive process improvements, cost reductions, and overall operational excellence. We value diverse perspectives and collaborative problem-solving, fostering an environment where innovation and efficiency thrive. Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Analyze, create and train on distribution and logistics workflows
- Facility Design: Design or reconfigure fulfillment centers for optimal flow and labor costs
- Technology Integration: Implement, optimize and train on new Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Labor Modeling: Perform Time and Motion studies to create standards for operations to use in labor planning
- Cost Analysis and Reduction: Create Cost-Benefit analysis for distribution and logistics strategies and projects.
The experience you have
- Hands-on operational experience in food distribution, cold chain logistics or perishable goods
- Food Safety Compliance: Familiarity with FDA, USDA, or HACCP
- Inventory Management experience: Practical knowledge especially shelf-life sensitive items
- Hands-on Technical experience: Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and Familiarity in Transportation Management Systems.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Looker
- Standard Operating Procedures: Experience in creating and rolling out SOPs.
