Starting Salary Range: $134,000 - $172,000 - depending on experienceLocation: Lynnwood, WAClassification: ExemptMust be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available General Position Summary : Develop business plan and expand revenue base through marketing, sales, and business development in alignment with corporate goals. Manage/ supervise Industrial Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators. Manage multiple, specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability. Essential Job Functions :1. Lead the Industrial team to deliver quality and profitable projects.2. Provide training and mentorship for group project managers and project engineers.3. Forecast department revenues, gross profits, and bookings.4. Generate and modify business plans as influenced by market conditions.5. Generate growth plan and work the plan.6. Collaborate with other lines of business to promote customer retention and new business.7. Assign best suited project management support for new project opportunities and new projects.8. Develop and maintain client relations.9. Participate in industry and client social networking events to market and promote UMC in the marketplace.10. Review job estimates of direct reports and prepare project budgets.11. Estimate and negotiate change orders.12. Track, forecast, report labor hours and material costs.13. Buyout major equipment and subcontracts14. Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials.15. Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope and specifications of project contract/subcontract.16. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance.17. Supervise Project Managers, Project Engineers and General Superintendents including quarterly and annual coaching.18. Collaborate with field labor supervision to plan, organize and schedule project work including preparation of subcontract/contract integrated project schedule.19. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications20. Prepare fabrication shop work package including detail drawing review, material take off and buyout, and man-hour fabrication budget.21. Ensure full compliance with UMC Safety Program at the jobsite.22. Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to team members.23. Be professional and uphold UMC Core Values24. Provide support and leadership of corporate initiatives such as AIM and process committees. Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job : 1. Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work.2. Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.3. Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts.4. Strong work ethic - results driven.8. Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.9. Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD
Supervisory Responsibility : Supervise Industrial Group Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators.
Education/ Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job : A minimum of five years experience as a mechanical project manager Construction Management or Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering degree desired A minimum of three years experience managing PM's and PE's.

Paid Time Off:

Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. UMC follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. UMC also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year.
